The Travel Tag

This tag has been so long overdue since the wonderful Melissa-lou tagged me! I've finally got round to doing it. I must say I rarely get tagged in tag posts so usually I am just reading other peoples' so it's cool to be involved and hopefully tell you more about myself!

You are leaving tomorrow to start a life in a new country, where do you go?

America, New York, Manhattan. I don't even need time to think about it. Since I visited New York last year in February I have fantasised about one day working and living in New York, hopefully one day that opportunity comes my way because I can't think of a place more amazing to live. I would like to live in Melbourne, Australia but I think it is slightly too far from home...

You can take someone for a weekend away to the place you had the best holiday, where would that be and who would you take with you?

The best 'holiday' I've had would definitely be this Summer when I went Interailling around Europe  for a month with Harry, I'd do it all again exactly the same in every way apart from I'd bring my dog, Maisy if I could!

You can get married wherever you want to, the budget is limitless, what is your choice?

I can't say I have planned my wedding in that much depth but what I would like, off the top of my head, would be a small, intimate ceremony in a beautifully decorated, romantic renovated barn or perhaps some old ruins... I'd then contrast it with a very large reception that has something for everyone. All I know that is certain is that I will be arriving and departing 'just wed' in a horse and carriage. Even with a limitless budget I wouldn't want anything too ostentatious or extravagant as it is just not me, I want a wedding that is remembered because of the love that was celebrated not because there was an 10 foot ice-sculpture in the shape of a swan.

During your travels you bring one animal home as a pet, which one would you pick?

Everywhere I go I always find an animal that I want to bring home but never can so this is a hard one... I met some tiger cubs once in Thailand so probably one of them as they were adorable.

You can go back in time and relive a family trip, which one?

Despite being to some amazing places with my family I think some of my best memories are of when we used to go camping in the New Forest in Dorset, England with my parents, two brothers and our beloved caravan. We were all very young but I will never forget our caravan and all the laughter and childish games we used to play in it.

What is the first thing you would pack for a one year travel around the world?

Underwear without a doubt, there is nothing I value more than putting on a fresh pair of knickers in the morning - as weird as that sounds.

What would your fantasy 100th birthday destination be?

I'm sure that by this point in my life I will have a place in mind that is much more sentimental but I would probably say somewhere like Devon or Cornwall. I love the english coastline, apart from London it is probably my favourite part about living in England.

During your travels you can learn one sport to become a pro, what would it be?

without a doubt surfboarding. I have always wished I could ride a wave like they do in all those Australian TV shoes (obviously I'm being very stereotypical here). Being able to surfboard I genuinely feel is the coolest skill ever, especially when you can do tricks.
