Drugstore Beauty Haul

Before I begin I just wanted to apologise for not posting in what feels like forever even though it was only a couple of weeks. It's been a hectic few weeks lets just say with college coursework deadlines, exams, changing job. It hasn't been all bad though, I celebrated my 18th birthday last week and got to see some of my best friends that travelled from all around the country, from where they study at uni, to come out with me and celebrate. Any way I'm back now and so without further ado here is what I picked up on my latest trip to my local Boots.

St.Moriz Pro Formula Tanning Gel

I'd be lying if I said that when I go on nights out or to parties I don't love looking like I've just got back from a two week holiday in the Maldives. I'd used both the spray and the mouse from St.Moriz and so for my 18th I bravely decided to try something new and oh my am I glad I did! At first I was incredibly apprehensive due to this gel not having any guide colour, however this only proved to be a good thing as it meant there were no bed sheets that looked like someone had spilt paprika on them and I didn't have to wash it off before I went out, saving me time. Not to mention, it didn't streak whatsoever. I'm so glad I picked this up as it is now my new favourite tan and for such an affordable price! Thank you St.Moriz!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum

I decided to pick this up for the fact that I don't actually own a foundation with no spf in it. If you don't already know, not only does spf reflect sunlight but it also reflects things like the flash from a camera making your face look super pale and ghostly (i.e. not a good look). Therefore, if you're into going out clubbing or to parties where you know at some point pictures are going to be taken you should always try and wear a foundation with no spf. I picked this one up specifically because it is a dewy formula and therefore doesn't cake on my skin. So far I have been incredibly impressed with this foundation, don't be put off by the fact it is described as a 'serum' because in my opinion it gives a really nice, buildable coverage that leaves the skin looking natural and radiant, much like the Chanel Vita Lumiére foundation.

Sleek Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream

I was super excited to try this out as i've wanted something like this for ages! However I have been left highly disappointed... I found this product feeling very very weird on my lips in a way that I can't describe. It kind of feels like someone has gotten plaster and smeared it all over my lips and left it to dry resulting in them feeling stiff and not like lips at all. The fact that this is advertised as a 'cream' I believe is pretty cheeky of Sleek to be honest. The colour is beautiful but the formula is dreadful, it dried out my lips almost immediately even after moisturising and just made them look old and wrinkly #gross

Rimmel London Supercurler Mascara

Here we have yet another disappointing product. I can not stress how much this product has been advertise in the UK. It is all over TV and has claimed its own stand full of the same mascara in all of the boots I have been in recently. First of all when I apply it, it feels like black water on my lashes and transfers so easily onto both the upper and lower lid, I am surprised It doesn't drip from the applicator. Secondly, the applicator is hhhhuuuggggeeeee making it near impossible to get to the inner and outer edges of my eyes. Lastly, it doesn't even do as advertised, I know my lashes are straight as stickmen but still this mascara gives no lift or curl at all, especially in comparison to the Benefit Roller Lash (AKA my holy grail mascara).

Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil & Gel

After repurchasing Soap & Glory's brow archery multiple times I decided to try something new. I have heard about this product and was really interested to see how it would compare to the brow archery. I love it, the colour is perfectly matched to my blonde hair and the pencil is really easy to use, i'm not a huge brow person as I prefer to spend more time and money on things like eye shadow but I really like this. The fact that is comes with a gel attached is even better since my brows are always doing their own thing and can't stay tamed on their own, not the mention the gel smells amazing!

Barry M Dazzle Dust - Bronze

After seeing my brother's girlfriend, Melissa-Lou, totally rave about these on her blog multiple times, I decided it was time I hopped on the band wagon. As a result my only disappointment is that I didn't pick up more. These dusts are just beautiful! The durability is also fabulous and frankly so is everything else about them, I literally can not fault Barry M for creating these little pots of pure perfection. If you haven't grabbed any of these yet then do it, you won't regret it.

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Polish - Do You Pink I'm Sexy?

No I didn't pick this product up just because of the name.... If you follow my blog then you will know that pretty much the only nail polishes I use are from the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing collection. Their formula is second to none and neither are the results. Every single one I have resulted in gel-like looking nails without the damage. I adore these polishes *calm down now Rhaea*. I've raved about these enough before on my blog, but basically if you paint your own nails and haven't tried these polishes yet then you should. I only own dark colour nail polishes pretty much so I decided to switch it up a bit and add this one to my collection.... and I like the name...

Eylure Cheryl Cole - Sexy Señorita Lashes

I purchased these in preparation for a night out on the recommendation of a friend and they have quickly become my favourite drugstore fake lashes (Thank you Hannah :*). They are super lightweight and easy to apply, they are also natural looking which is what I like as I don't suite the really dramatic looking lashes. If you like Mac 36 lashes then you should try these as they are very similar but more natural looking and half the price!

So that is all for my drugstore haul! I usually steer to buying more high end products but I'm really glad I divulged in some drug store products for a change as I have ended up finding some things that have very quickly become staples in my makeup bag. Let me know if you have tried out any of these things and what you think of them!

Thank you for reading,
